We are very pleased to announce that Clive Jones has recently joined the team as Project Director.
Clive’s initial focus will be to work with our aged care and retirement living clients and apply his in-depth knowledge of the sector, to enhance project delivery.
Clive has over 25 years of practical experience in design and client-side procurement and management of construction and accommodation projects, within the government and private sectors. His working career has included a wide spectrum of construction industry-related roles, initially in architectural practices and then through a variety of government agencies, private sector construction and not-for-profit aged care providers.
This has allowed Clive to hone his strategic and project management skills and consolidate his experience within a number of distinctly different work environments. He’s not afraid to ask the tough questions and his client-side experience will bring invaluable insight to all projects.
Clive’s most recent role prior to joining our team was as Executive Manager Estate Development for Goodwin Aged Care Services, an existing client of Dowse Projects. He is now looking forward to continuing working with Goodwin on the expansion of the Monash Village development and the new Goodwin Downer project, a significant investment to deliver 129 adaptable apartments, including the provision of 20 Assisted Living units. Dowse Projects is currently working with the design team to finalise the design phase, with construction commencement scheduled for later in 2021.
Clive fun facts:
• Originally from Victoria, Clive still supports his favourite AFL team, Essendon
• He enjoys his weekly round of golf and refers to himself as a ‘weekly hacker’
• He is not sure if he likes gardening or not, but considers the ‘task’ part of his downtime
• His son is currently studying at Sydney Uni and his daughter is completing Year 11 in Canberra
• He worked at Parliament House during the John Howard era and had similar design taste to Mrs Howard, as he discovered during an impromptu visit to the Prime Minister’s office!
